About Hillary

A BYU vocally trained musician, Hillary Haynie has studied voice with many well known instructors including Clayne Robison, Diane Reich, and Darrell Babidge.  She has also received opera training from Dr. Lawrence Vincent and Dr. Richard Crittenden.  She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Brigham Young University in Vocal Performance in 2008.  Hillary has sung for several years with the BYU Concert Choir under the direction of Rosalind Hall.  She has performed as a soprano soloist in performances of Carl Orff’s ‘Carmina Burana’, and Handel’s ‘Messiah’.  She has also performed as Marie in ‘La fille du regiment’, Susanna in ‘The Marriage of Figaro’, and a chorus member in ‘Die Fledermaus’.  She was a scholarship recipient in BYU’s competitive vocal music program and specializes in a variety of singing styles including Classical, Opera, Broadway, Belt/Mix, and Modern Pop.

Hillary was a guest soloist singing William Joseph’s ‘O, America!’ with William Joseph at the piano at ASU’s Gammage Concert Hall in Phoenix, Arizona.  She is also currently a member of the East Valley Millennial Choirs and Orchestras Grand Chorus and is the Director's Assistant for all of the EVMCO children's choirs.  Hillary enjoys participating with the Millennial Choirs in their concerts and CD recordings.  Hillary’s entertaining claim to fame is her contribution to the Aquabats! CD, ‘High-Five Soup!’.  She recorded back-up vocals for three tracks; ‘Shark Fighter!’, ‘B.F.F.!’, and ‘Hey Homies!’.


Hillary has been teaching for 10 years and loves every minute of it.  In addition to singing/performing, Hillary can play the piano, harp, and guitar.  When Hillary is not teaching or singing, she spends all of her time with her family.  She is married to Josh, the man of her dreams, and has an amazing son, Ethan, and a beautiful daughter, Emma.
